Aikido Center, San Francisco

Beginner's Class

Introduction

The beginners course consists of six 45 minute sessions, on Tuesday and Thursday for the first three weeks of every month (except when noted below). Participants will learn basic falls and rolls, exercises, etiquette, and techniques that form the foundation of aikido practice.

To enroll, please arrive at the dojo 20 minutes before the first scheduled class for the month.  The course fee is $45 (cash or check please). An aikido uniform (gi) is not required, but wearing loose clothing such as a t-shirt and sweat pants is recommended. Participants may continue taking beginner classes until they feel ready to join the regular classes.

The course however is not a prerequisite for regular training, and beginners may train with the regular classes from the start if they prefer.
